Bio Eretmocerus Pods

These compostable pods contain the pupae of the whitefly parasitoid Eretmocerus eremicus, which is used to control the tobacco/silverleaf/sweet potato whitefly (Bemisia tabaci). The novel pod release method provides an improved hatch rate with less labour compared to cards or bulk releases. These parasitic wasps will provide the most effective control when introduced preventatively, or early during infestation. Eretmocerus may provide a limited control of other whitefly species, but it is recommended to combine Eretmocerus eremicus with Encarsia for maximum flexibility.
