Plant-Prod 12-17-29 Seedling is recommended for hardening seedlings in the fall by supplying low nitrogen, moderate phosphorus and a high level of potash. The levels of phosphorus and potassium encourage root development and increase plant resistance to frost and drought. Over 65% of the nitrogen is available in the nitrate form which prevents soft growth under low light conditions. Plant-Prod® 12-17-29 fertilizer was specifically designed for use on forestry seedlings grown in peat mixes. This formula is to be used in conjunction with calcium nitrate and magnesium sulphate to provide a complete and well balanced nutritional program for tree seedlings.
