SureGuard® EZ nursery herbicide provides lasting weed control for ornamental trees and shrubs. SureGuard EZ won’t stain and provides excellent, long-lasting pre-emergence control of tough annual broadleaf and grassy weeds.

Use

SureGuard EZ Herbicide is registered for pre-emergence weed control in the following settings in Canada:

  1. Container and field-grown ornamental deciduous and coniferous trees, including: Non-bearing fruit and nut trees, Christmas trees, Trees produced for reforestation, Poplar, willow, and aspen produced for short-rotation-intensive culture.

  2. Bare ground non-crop areas, including: Around buildings and farm structures; Fencerows; Gravel surfaces and driveways; Road surfaces and gravel shoulders

Controlled Grasses and Broadleaf Weeds

SureGuard EZ Herbicide provides pre-emergence control of the following grasses and broadleaf weeds:

  • Grasses: Green foxtail (Setaria viridis)

  • Broadleaf Weeds: Redroot pigweed (Amaranthus retroflexus), Green pigweed (Amaranthus powellii), Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia), Common lamb’s-quarters (Chenopodium album), Hairy nightshade (Solanum sarachoides), Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale), Eastern black nightshade (Solanum ptycanthum), Kochia (Kochia scoparia), Canada fleabane (Conyza canadensis), Common chickweed (Stellaria media), Volunteer canola (Brassica napus), Common waterhemp (Amaranthus rudis), Palmer amaranth (Amaranthus palmeri), Annual sowthistle (Sonchus oleraceus).

  • Suppression Only: Moss, Liverwort, Cleavers (Galium aparine), Russian thistle (Salsola spp.), Wild buckwheat (Polygonum convolvulus)
